Compiègne is a nice small city in northern France within the département of Oise in the Picardie Region. Located along the Oise river, it is situated about 75km far from Paris. Since the origins of monarchy, Compiègne has been a royal and imperial residence. The chateau was the autumn residence of Emperor Napoleon III. The Compiègne forest, one of the most famous and largest forest in France, is the place where armistices for both World Wars were signed.
The ECSQARU 2015 Conference will take place in the Centre Pierre Guillaumat of the University of Technology of Compiègne. This center is situated 3km from the city center.
From the city center, the easiest way to get to the conference center is by bus, and the fastest is bus line 5. From the IBIS and HOSTELLERIE DU ROYALLIEU, the best is to walk to the conference center (either going along the river for IBIS, or through the parc for the HOSTELLERIE). Roads and main bus stops are available on the Google Map
